2024 Dahlia Tubers

$10.00

Grow dahlias in your very own garden! Dahlia tubers remind me of fingerling potatoes, with eyes that sprout and grow into irresistibly gorgeous flowers. When planted in late spring after after the soil has warmed, they bloom mid-summer all the way through fall until frost arrives. When you dig them up in the fall for winter storage, you can divide them to multiply your own tuber stock and grow even more beauty the following year.

This year’s varieties include:

  • Blizzard

  • Cafe au Lait

  • Chimacum Nadjae

  • Cornel

  • Crichton Honey

  • Daydreamer

  • Diva

  • Ferncliff Copper

  • Grace Wulff

  • HH Orange Ice

  • Jabberbox

  • Linda’s Baby

  • Rip City

  • Silver Years

  • Spartacus

  • Stege Meggos

  • Sweet Nathalie

  • Terra Cotta

These tubers are ready to plant and some of them have already sprouted! While I normally suggest waiting until after Mother’s Day to plant them, the soil temperatures are sufficiently warm to plant them out early this year. If the fragile sprout or eye accidentally snaps off during transport, no worries all all; it will grow back. Growing instructions are included.

To keep it simple, all tubers are $10 each. Tubers will be carefully packaged and available for pick-up at the farmstand on May 11th and May 12th from 10am-4pm.  Address is 6900 Arkona Rd in Saline, MI. Local pick-up only; sorry, no shipping this year.

Can’t make it out to the farmstand this weekend? No worries. Drop us a message here and we can make other arrangements for pick-up.

All of our tubers are guaranteed to have a viable eye or we will provide a replacement tuber or issue a refund.
