Planting Instructions: Detailed planting instructions are included with the kit so you’ll know how to care for each variety, helping to ensure an abundance of blooms to fill your home all season long. Most prefer full sun, which means they need direct, unfiltered sunlight for at least 6 hours a day. Some may tolerate partial shade. These plants will fit in a 15-20 square foot garden space with 6-12” spacing depending on variety. Since they are all annuals (i.e. only bloom for one season), we plant ours even closer than this on the farm but you can spread them out a bit if desired. They can be planted into a patch of ground, raised beds, or large tubs with potting soil for patio growing. Seedlings will come ready to plant directly into your garden.

Types of Flowers: All seedlings in the kit are selected specifically for "cutting" varieties with long stems that are perfect for making your own bouquets. Kits will not all be identical and may include any of the following: Ageratum, Amaranth, Bells of Ireland, Celosia, Cosmos, Cress, Didiscus, Gomphrena, Nigella, Snapdragons, Statice, Strawflower, Sunflower, Zinnias.  At checkout, please choose from either “bold” or “pastel” color palette.

How We Grow:  All plants are grown at Bella Terra Flower Farm using regenerative and organic practices. We do not use synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides during the growing process. Seedlings are started with top quality soil, compost, beneficial mycorrhizae, and worm castings to help ensure the healthiest of plants from the very start. These inputs are pricey but worth it. It’s what we use here at the farm to build healthier soil and will help build your soil health too!

Pick-up Instructions: Trays of seedlings will be ready for pick-up from our farm in early to mid-May when the weather allows for planting out into your garden. We are aiming for a May 4th pick-up date, in time for Mother’s Day. (Hint…they make a great gift!) We will notify you via email with additional details in late April. Pick-up is at the farm ONLY in Saline, MI. Shipping is not available. Any delay in pick-up may affect the quality of your plants so we strongly recommend having a backup person available in case you are unable to do so on the designated date.

No Refunds: These seedlings are grown JUST FOR YOU! Therefore, we cannot offer any refunds if you are unable to pick up your plants for any reason. No refunds once your order has been placed.  Thank you for your understanding.
