Dahlias have captured the hearts of flowers lovers everywhere. They are one of the most beautiful and versatile flowers you can grow. Once established, they are so incredibly productive, pumping out bloom after gorgeous bloom well into the fall. Dahlias have a reputation for being difficult; they are easy to grow but require a bit of knowledge about digging and proper storage, as well as how to divide the tubers to keep your collection growing. Are you smitten with these prolific plants but intimidated by the care they require?

Join us for our Fall Dahlia Workshop to gain the confidence to grow your very own dahlia garden.

In this Fall Dahlia Workshop, you will learn how we dig, divide, label, store, and plant our dahlia tubers – a process that we’ve established after lots of trial and error over the years. The hands-on demonstration portion will focus on DIGGING TUBERS. Whether you are a seasoned grower or a home gardener, come dig in the dirt with us and learn our secrets to growing these special blooms. We’ll have cider and donuts, and everyone will receive 3 dahlia tubers to grow next season.

This workshop is held outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Closed-toes shoes are required and the farm may be muddy, so consider wearing boots. We have a couple picnic tables but if you’d prefer, please feel free to bring a folding chair if you are not comfortable staying on your feet for long.

Please note that there are no refunds if you cannot make the class after registering. If Bella Terra must cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be promptly notified and refunded. We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to low participation or severe weather. Thank you for your understanding.
