HANDMADE POP-UP MARKET
Date: Saturday, May 18th ~ Time: 10am-2pm ~ Location: Bella Terra Flower Farm, 6900 Arkona Rd., Saline, MI. 48176
Now that we are getting settled on the new farm, one way we’d like to support the community is through an on-farm Handmade Pop-Up Market once or twice a year. This is in keeping with one of the main pillars of our mission to create a place of beauty, community and creativity. We strive to use flowers and the farm as a way to bring community together and re-connect with each other.
We’d like to invite a few local makers of carefully created handmade goods to set up shop at the farm for the day, to help us celebrate our Farmstand Grand Opening + Spring Open House. Since this is our way of testing out a on-farm pop-up style event, we will not be charging any table fees but we are looking for businesses with similar goals as ours. We have a strong focus on community, sustainability, and of course, all things floral. We aim to to leave our little piece of earth better than we found it, which to us, means using sustainable farming and business practices, avoiding single use plastics and packaging, and advocating for a healthier planet.
If you’re interesting in joining us, please fill out the application HERE by April 26th and we will notify approved makers by May 1st via email. Yes, this is a tight turnaround… but we thought we’d give it a try this year anyway, since on-farm events are one of our main goals for the new farm.
Keep in mind this is intended to be a handmade and eco-friendly market, so please be descriptive about your products and how you make them. Be sure to list all items that will be sold, including food truck and baked items. Photos are very helpful but not necessary. Be very thoughtful on the presentation and quality of your booth. We strive for a beautiful aesthetic at the farm, to create an enjoyable and elevated experience for our customers. This is a juried event, so we can ensure a variety items as well as emphasis on eco-friendly offerings. We will only invite a limited number of vendors to test out this pop-up market concept at the farm.
Hope you can join us! And if this spring doesn’t work for you, join us for our Open House anyway and check out the farm to see if a future pop-up event might be a good fit for you.
